Deborah Donnelley is a photographer best known for her portraits
of girls and women. Her award winning photographs have been exhibited
both nationally and internationally - including solo shows at University
of the Arts (Philadelphia, PA), Harvard Graduate School of Education,
University of California (Berkeley, CA), ARC Gallery (Chicago, IL),
and Matrix Gallery (Sacramento, CA) among others. Her work is included
in the Collection of the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
Deborah has been the recipient of three artists’ grants,
including the Barbara Deming Memorial Fund for Women. Publication
credits include Ms. Magazine, ZOOM, Best of Photography Annual,
Photo Review and Photo Insight, and most recently her own book,
In the Company of Sisters: Portraits and Reflections,
published in 2003. Deborah graduated from Sarah Lawrence College
and earned at master’s degree in Education from Harvard in
1996. She lives in Oak Park, Illinois, with her husband Peter and
their four children.
